Tensile Fabric Canopies / Roofs / Structures
We are able to offer a complete turnkey service from initial concept design, through to site installation works, including the supply of structural support steelwork.
The majority of tensile fabric structures that we have built to date are bespoke one off designs, although we also offer a range of smaller standard designs, which are ideally suited to the smaller budget.
Biogas Storage Vessels and Industrial Covers
AJ Tensile manufactures biogas storage vessels for the collection of methane gas produced by anaerobic digestion of food waste. We have manufactured biogas domes which have been installed as far afield as Australia, Canada, China, Poland, UK and USA.
These range in size from 20m³ to the majority around 2000-3000m³, and right up to the largest in Europe at a plant in Manchester with a volume of 9000m³.
Staging, Event and Marquee Covers
A J Tensile is a well-known manufacturer of covers to the Staging, Event & Marquee industries. We supply stage covers and screening for the sets of touring rock bands, bespoke covers for the launch of new products, and roof and wall covers for marquee hire companies.
The rapid nature of this type of work means we invariably need to react swiftly and confidently in meeting our client’s requirements.
Banner Finishing and Building Wraps
AJ Tensile provide a finishing service for banners and building wraps to a number of specialist large format printing companies.
We take our client’s wide-format prints, place them on fabric widths of anything up to 5m by 10m, then trim, assemble, weld, and add the finishing details to allow the banners or wraps to be fixed.
Large building wraps being anything up to 30m by 100m are made in manageable sections for ease of site installation.
Standard Umbrella and Canopy Structures
AJ Tensile have a number of standard ‘off the shelf’ structures ranging in size from 3m umbrellas up to 18m triple conic canopies.
All of our standard designs are ideally suited to the leisure, retail and education sectors, and are engineered as permanent structures, designed to stand up to the harshest of the UK’s weather conditions and will give a long lasting and virtually maintenance-free service.

AJ Tensile provides a contract cutting, welding and repair service as part of our core business.
We support a wide range of clients, from those simply requiring additional capacity to fulfil a special contract, or companies who don’t have their own in house manufacturing facility at all.
