A native of Usk, Kieran attended Pontypool College (Coleg Gwent) from 2014 to 2016 studying for a Level 3 Diploma in Sustainable Construction, Engineering, Surveying & Design, a course mainly covered civil engineering, design and building practices. Since joining AJ Tensile as Assistant Engineering Detailer in 2016 he has gone on to achieve a Level 3 NVQ in Business Administration and become the youngest person in the UK at 18 to enrol on to a Level 4 NVQ in Leadership and Management.
During this time at AJT Kieran’s knowledge had broadened to encompass more specialised tensile fabric theory and disciplines and includes CAD draughting, project management and cost estimating in his role supporting the Special Projects and Design departments.
Kieran is a keen sportsman and divides his time between boxing and rugby, and regularly plays rugby for Newport High School Old Boys. He represented the Boy’s Club of Wales at under 19 level, playing against Holland in Amsterdam, and won the Welsh cup with the youth team in 2016. When not participating in sport Kieran likes to be directly involved with renovation projects and general design activities.
